GoLang Fundamentals — Part III
How function Accepts Argument and Return Paramters in Golang
You can pass parameters to Golang functions and get their values back. Code that is modularized in this way can be more easily reused.
Accepting Arguments
Arguments are values that are passed to a function when it is called. They allow the function to access data from the calling code.
To define a function that accepts arguments, you list the argument names and their types in parentheses after the function name. For example, the following function takes two integer arguments and returns their sum:
Go
func add(x int, y int) int {
return x + y
}
To add values to this function, you can use the following syntax:
Go
result := add(10, 20)
fmt.Println("The sum is:", result)
This code will output the following:
The sum is: 30
Functions in Golang can accept arguments and return parameters. This allows you to modularize your code and make it more reusable.
